Horse Holidays on the Isle of Wight

Holidays with your Horse...

The idea behind Horse Holidays is very simple -
many horse-owners just want to take their horse on holiday with them.
Often, people feel there is no alternative to staying at home and hacking out locally ... perhaps doing a cross-country course if there's one nearby.

Safe and relaxing...

So we have set out to make holidaying away with your own horse a reality. The Isle of Wight is the best place to do it - good climate, lots of bridleways, good accommodation - a horse-friendly place all-round. We provide plenty of information about your route, so it's a pleasure to set off to see new places. And with the back-up of medical facilities for both of you, information and arrangements for necessities and emergencies, it's easy to relax.

Time for you...

You might want to be completely alone with your horse - time off from the office - enough thinking, talking, decisions!…
Or you can share this with a pal or with a group of friends. Some prefer a holiday with like-minded family members - a mother and daughter holiday, for instance.
Another option is to come with a partner who wants to do quite different activities, and you could even arrange to meet for lunch.

Practical arrangements...

At Aldermoor Farm, our stabling is in an American Barn set in quiet country. You can arrange for straw or shavings for your horse's bedding, and turn him out into the paddocks. We have staff on hand to see to your horse if you want a day off.

We will guide you to the starting point of your route, and help you drive back again. If you call us on your mobile phone, we will pick you up from pre-set emergency pick-up points and take you back to the farm. There we can arrange immediate assessment from trained therapists or call a farrier or vet as necessary.
